Girls' Race Recap: The Girls' Team was led once again by Abby Hibbs
1st place finish (19:56), The next four finishers for CP were Elise Oldroyd 3rd place, Ellie Grossman 4th place, Maggie Grossman 5th place, Callista LaMott 7th overall and Sophie Grossman 9th overall with Atley Schreiner placing 10th as our 7th team runner. Seventeen of the 21 runners ran seasonal bests, with 6 athletes running their first NWSC 5K of their careers ! Examples of large time improvements came from, Lydia Lindells 2 minute drop from the 1st meet, Maura Wahls 1:36 time drop, Sophie Grossman's 1:10 time drop and Melina Ungs 1:01 time drop. Great job all in the 2nd meet of the season !
Boy's Race Recap:
Ethan Ibarra's 2nd place finish led the Rebels this Friday. Rounding out
the top five were Grayson Holtz 4th, Kyle Ostendorf 5th, Blake Olson 7th, Isaac McKeon 8th Keegan Poston 9th and Garret Doty's 10th place finish. Five boy's ran to 5K all-time bests led by Grayson's 10 second drop on his PR, followed by Issac- 3 sec. Caleb Ibarra's 9 second and Ryder Opskars 41 second time drop. 16 Boys' ran to either seasonal or lifetime bests for the 5K ! Well Done All! Both teams defeated Coon Rapids in their respective dual meets. The Girls' score was 20 to 39 and the Boy's was 26 to 33 points. Next up!: Andover HS in a dual at Northwood's Park, Thursday Sept. 17th, with races starting at 3:50.

Comparing Apples to Bananas, we are ahead of last years first 5K (2019 Early Bird), with 5 of our top 7 running faster today then last year !! We had a group of newbies to the 5K Rebel World, with Ellie in 10th, Sophie Grossman 22nd, Lydia Lindell 32nd and Grace Baker 41st. Well Done All !
Boy's Race Recap: Ethan Ibarra's 4th place finish led the Rebels Friday. Rounding out the top five were Kyle Ostendorf 11, Blake Olson 12th, Garrett Doty 13th and Isaac McKeon 14th. Rookie Ryan Kane had a nice debut running the 5K dropping a 20:03 for 21st place as did Charlie Hibbs 34th and Caleb Ostenberg 37th overall. We had a large group of 7th and 8th graders join us for the 5K opener. They were; Caleb Ibarra 24th, Osterberg, Will Aumer 49th, Josh Henchen 51st, Matt Mayo 53rd, Ryan Opskar 54th, Will Larson 67th, Will Maher 69th, Tyler Musto 79th and Will Musto 80 with Duran Herran finishing 83rd. Well done in your first meet all. On the Boy's Apples to Bananas, 6 of our top 9 ran faster today than last year at this time !
