5AA Recap: Pushed and shoved down, clipped from behind, lost shoe, tossed shoe a typical section cross country meet no not really !   Overcoming adversity for some and dogged determination for all, the Rebels rocked 34 All-Time Bests !
Girls' Recap:  Persevering was the message of the day as those that were able to toe the line at the 5AA had to do just that.  Atley Schreiner led the charge with a 48th place finish and lifetime best for the Rebels.  Emily Lindell finished with more bruises then what she started with finishing in 56th after taking a tumble on the first loop. Rounding out the top 5 were Maggie Grossman, in 64th, Amelia Lund in 72 ( All-Time Best) and Erin Reardon,85th ( All-Time Best). Varsity Girls' Team Finish 13th of 16. Leading the JV  Team to 8th Place was Elise Oldroyd who finished 24th, followed by Annie Miller's Pr in 47th, Audrey Whitman in 55th, Ashlyn Murphy in 59th and Melina Ung who Pr'd for 62nd place.
Boys' Recap:  Led by Connor Preston and Dontae Johnson the Varsity Boy's Team finished 4th for their highest team finish in school history !  Both Dontae and Connor qualified for next weeks State XC Meet. 6 of the top 7 runner's achieved lifetime personal bests for their respective efforts.  Rounding out the top 5 were, Danny Kloeppner in 38th, Ben Fischer in 40th and Eoin Keran in 48th. Leading the JV Boys' to a 7th Place Team Finish were Zac Oldroyd in 22nd, with Garret Doty in 30th, Joe Eisenberg in 32nd, Keegan Poston 38th and Jonah Brixius in 46th. 
Overall Notes:  Jonah Brixius lost part of his shoe prior to the 1-mile, Kyle Ostendorf tossed his shoe to a chearing teammate after having it steped on. Emily was tossed to the ground and grinded out after her hard landing after the 1-mile.   Not what one would wish for their runner's but proud of how they all charged back into the race !

Girls' Recap: Second consecutive year that the team has moved up the charts finishing 7th in the 2018 race.   3 All-Conference-HM performances: Emily Lindell, Emma Berge and Atley Schreiner paced the Rebels. Our top 4 raced within 29 seconds of each other.  Maggie Grossman #4 and #5 Greta Bahe rounded out the team Top 5.  Our top 6 raced to seasonal bests on a new course design that was soft, wet and muddy!  Newcomers Ashlyn Murphy and Erin Reardon paced the Rebel JV finishing 9th and 14th overall, with the team finishing 9th overall.  Rounding out the JV scoring were, rookie Cassidy Peterson in 53rd, Rookie Ruth Eisenberg  in 99th and veteran Zoey Adams in 98th. Of special note the top 3 Rebel JV earned Varsity Letters for their performances!
Boys' Recap: The Rebel Boy's Team raced to a 3rd place finish at the NWSC earning it's highest finish in 25 years.  Leading the Rebels were All-Conference Runners Dontae Johnson-8th, Connor Preston-9th, Danny Kloeppner 25th and  All-Conference HM Mark Scheller 34th and Ben Fischer-55th.  Four of our Top 8 raced to Lifetime Best best demonstrated by  Zac Oldroyd dropping 13 seconds on this muddy/wet course.  Leading the JV Rebels to a 6th place team finish were Jonah Brixius-10th, Keegan Poston-26th, Kyle Ostendorf-33rd, Blake Olson-37th and Grayson Holtz-53rd.  The Top 5 JV Rebels earned Letters for their finish in the Top 20%.  
Overall it was an impressive day overcoming the hardship of a new course design, soggy track and cool temps.  Overcoming a few mishaps like slipping or losing a shoe, running with head colds and allergies, I am proud to say I'm your coach !

Outstanding Racing Rebels !  Now on to Sections in 2-Weeks!
