2014 Results: Section 5AA Championships

Girls' Recap:  Three of our "Top 7"  ran to Lifetime PR's, as did Three of our JV Teammembers. Of those Izzy Wilson's 17:40 dropping 31 seconds was the largest improvement over the season...Way to go Rookie !  Overall the team placed 8th of 16 teams. Sarina Lindell and Cristina Zuniga had the two largest drops on the Varsity dropping 13 & 16 seconds respectiviely.  Viewing from afar...the team was a mere 1 point out of 7th place.  Major Overall improvement over the 2013 Season...moving up Five spots !!!  Congrats to Diana & Taylor for earning All-Section Honors with their 17th & 21st place finishes .   Nicely done also to the JV Girls' Squad led by Jadie Wiles 13th place finish and PR.  The JV Girls' fnished 5th out of 16 teams...NICE !!!!   Thanks to all of our Senior Girls'.   Your leadership has paved the way for those that follow. Thanks to Katherine, Madi, Kelsey, Izzy, Emily and Alex & Sarah !!!    Thanks !

Boys' Recap:   With an ever changing  rendition of "Who's on First"...Luke Crandall was our #1 for Sections, and  had a major breakthrough performance with his 36th place finish in the race.  Overall the boys' squad finished 11th ...but more importantly, we had our Top Five all in the Top 50% of the competition...something we haven't been able to do consistantly over the past eight years....must be something to do with summer running :) !    The JV Boy's led by Jack Pincus 30th overall,  Michael Urvig's  37th place finish and Jake Jacott's 46th place ...earned the JV  10th out of the 16 teams.    Thanks to our Senior Boys': Ryan Opansky, Jack Pincus and Andrew Schnabel....for your dedication this season!
Of Note:All of the Varsity will be returing as well as 5 of the scoring members of the JV team.  With the majority of our Team returning,, next year looks promising !     
Of  "Major Note"....We had the largest number of Middle Schooler's join us at the Section Meet.
